These are our "BEACH DAY" picks! Some are in the bay, some are open ocean beaches, some you need to take a panga to get to them, some you can just drive to and all of them you will not want to leave.
Los Muertos Beach
Los Muertos Beach is a fusion of options and a culturally rich spot to hang out in with gallery filled streets that meet it like Basilio Badillo or live music venues like Cuates y Cuetes to work on your dance moves.
Destiladeras
Destiladeras is a large fine white sand beach that offers a stunningly beatiful beach and free public parking. It is a great beach for swimming and spending a lazy day.
Punta Negra
Bring your boogie boards! The beach is sandy and great water quality. If you walk towards Mita a little ways you will get to coral beach, this is also a good place to go snorkling!
Yelapa
The water is a beatiful shade of blue, you will find restaurants on the beach, most have loungers and umbrellas right on the sand to chill out and soak up some sunshine.
Chacala
The beach in Chacala is incredible, it's situated on a small bay and the water is very calm, ideal for the children. There are some restaurants on the beach that have everything you will nedd so no need to pack food and drinks.

With out a doubt one of the geographical highlights of bahia de banderas is the uninhabited set of islands just a few miles off the coast of punta de mita. The hidden beach which is not that hidden anymore is located in these Islands.
Dive in the Morro
